About the Internship: The Infrastructure Development Operations Intern will assist the Infrastructure DevOps team to build components using Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Amazon Cloud. The position will assist in automation of tasks and procedures.

 

About the Program: INTTRA's Summer Internship Program is 10 weeks long, beginning on June 4th and ending on August 10th. Our interns will participate in a number of workshops and activities: from learning how to build a Linkedin Profile and a top notch resume to enjoying lunch with the CEO & President (to name a few). In addition, our interns will participate in a volunteer day (offisite) and a team building day (offsite). At the end of the program, each intern will present their overall internship experience and takeaways to our Executive Team. 

 

Responsibilities

    • Create Python scripts for automation
    • Execution and scheduling of Tasks
    • Use the Amazon CLI or CloudFormation to create AWS resources
    • Develop scripts for the CI/CD of applications running on AWS
    • Develop Recipes/Playbooks for Infrastructure Configuration Management

     

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management
  • Must be familiar with Python
  • Desired familiarity with JSON and Linux (Redhat, Centos or Ubuntu)

 

Prior Experience:

  • Completed 200-Level Computer Science Classes
  • Python programming experience

 

Skills & Qualities:

  • Must be able to read Python code
  • Must be a problem solver with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Nice to have knowledge on Docker, version control systems such as Git, and configuration management tools such as Chef & Ansible
