About the Internship: Our Data Engeering Intern will be a key member of the Data Management Services Team.  Working within the Agile Methodolgoy and Framwork, the candidate will contribute in designing developing, testing, deploying and supporting projects, enhancements, and fixes to programs and technologies that enable internal and external business data users.  In addition, the candidate will help in troubleshooting and remediating production issues.

 

About the Program: INTTRA's Summer Internship Program is 10 weeks long, beginning on June 4th and ending on August 10th. Our interns will participate in a number of workshops and activities: from learning how to build a Linkedin Profile and a top notch resume to enjoying lunch with the CEO & President (to name a few). In addition, our interns will participate in a volunteer day (offisite) and a team building day (offsite). At the end of the program, each intern will present their overall internship experience and takeaways to our Executive Team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in the existing Data Platform processes and flows to assist in support
  • Utilizie skills in Database, SQL, AWS Technologies, Scripting and Programming to develop external and internal data solutions
  • Assist in Administration and Developmnt of the Tableau (BI) Environment and Artifacts
  • Interface and collaborate with other teams in ensuring data integration from and to source and destination systems
  • Ability to gather and document informational requirements for Analytic Solutions
  • Research of Advanced Analytic and Cloud Based technologies to modernize INTTRA’s Data Platform

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • BS/MS (Preferred) in Computer or Information Systems
  • Familiar with Cloud, Big Data and Relational Databases

 

Prior Experience:

 

  • Experience working in large database environments, preferably Cloud Based with MPP like systems (e.g. Redshift)
  • Experience with SQL, PL/PG/SQL, UNIX and/or ETL processing
  • Familiarity with AWS Technologies such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue

  • Excellent Communication, Collaboration and Problem Solving Skills
  • Knowledge of details and difference between Relational, Document and NOSQL databases
  • Database Design, Modeling and Administration Skills
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts and tools
  • Programming Skills and SQL Expertise
